Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Two year degree or college equivalent preferred.
Experience:
- Two years of Customer Service experience.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from the public.
- Ability to work under stressful conditions, managing time, prioritizing initiatives, and effectively multi-task.
- Familiarity with, and experience with use of, de-escalation techniques.
- Ability to work both independently and as a team member in fast-paced environment.
- High level proficiency with computing and administrative functions, including 45+ typed WPM, GroupWise email or equivalent, Instant Messenger, confirming appointments, navigating multiple databases concurrently.
- Prefer experience with electronic medical record systems (EMR).
- Call Center experience preferred.
- Ability to detect irregularities, such as security risks, facility and safety hazards and emergency situations.
- Ability to comprehend numerous organization policies, procedures, concepts and to be able to make decisions using discretion and interpretive judgment.
- Sensitivity to cultural diversity, different languages, needs and coping styles.
- Bilingual preferred.
