Education:
*B.S. or B.A degree in business, with an emphasis in statistics, computer science, mathematics, informatics, public health or another field requiring extensive data analysis required.

Experience:
*2+ years prior healthcare data experience related to managed care contracting and claims data analysis.
*Experience in health care data analysis and visualization methods. Demonstrated experience in healthcare analytics, statistical analysis or payer contract reporting may be considered in lieu of degree.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
*Demonstrated healthcare claims data analysis experience.
*Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software (expert user status with Excel).
*Ability to structure analytical results in an organized, visual manner to tell a meaningful, actionable story.
*Interpret contractual language, a clear understanding of financial statements and reporting requirements.
*Demonstrated ability to aggregate and utilize data from disparate sources to provide an accurate and comprehensive assessment of opportunity areas.
*Working understanding of healthcare coding such as CPTs, HCPCS, Revenue Codes, DRGs, APRDRGs, and Principle Diagnosis Codes.
*Ability to comfortably access healthcare and payer information on-line through the web and web- based tools.
*Proven ability to provide data insights and communicate findings with a broad stake-holder group.
*Proven ability to work with clinical departments with all levels of clinical staff.
*Ability to produce clear, written operational instructions and supporting documentation.
*Ability to troubleshoot technical and functional problems.
*Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
*Highly self-motivated and directed with keen attention to detail.
*Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and security requirements as it relates to healthcare data.
*Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and quickly adapt to changes in both technology and business environments.
*Ability to analyze data and apply investigative skills in resolving issues.
*Nice to have: Experience with SQL queries or Business Intelligence dashboard development platforms such as, but not limited to Qlikview, Tableau, Power BI etc.
