* Ability to function in an interdisciplinary work environment without direct supervision.
* Must be Board Certified or certification in process.
* NMT training or experience preferred and NICU-MT training or experience preferred.
* Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Music Therapy.
* One-year paid experience as a Music Therapist preferred.
* One year of prior music therapy work experience with children and families preferred.
* Experience in program development preferred.
* Ability to identify and receive referrals from hospital staff and to prioritize patients based on needs and schedules.
* Ability to accurately assess developmental needs of patients/families and establish a plan of care.
* Ability to document patient goals and objectives.
* Ability to evaluate the impact of and progress of music therapy interventions.
* Excellent time management skills.
* Willingness and ability to collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
* Highly proficient guitar and vocal skills.
* BLS Certification required.
* Basic computer skills.
