License/Certification/Registration required:
*Must be able to successfully pass background checks of the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA).
*Must complete and pass Use of Force and Defensive Tactics training within 30 days of hire.
*Must complete and pass Basic Life Support (BLS) and Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) training within 90 days of hire.
*Must be able to wear respiratory protection (N-95 respirator, full face respirator and PAPR), be fit tested and able to pass respirator physical.

Education:
*High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:
*Prior experience responding and intervening in emergency situations such as crisis de-escalation, intervention, detainment of suspects, reporting and investigating incidents, and enforcing organizational policy preferred.
*Prior Security experience preferred.
*Healthcare knowledge/experience preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
*Must be able to prepare verbal and written reports.
*Computer skills required.
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills a must.
*Must work independently and as a team.
*Must communicate effectively with others both orally and in writing.
*Must retain knowledge, information, and directions on an ongoing basis and communicate effectively with others.
*Must comprehend numerous policies, procedures, concepts and to be able to make decisions using discretion and interpretive judgment based on general and specific policies.
*Must to maintain accurate records.
*Must be customer service oriented.
*Knowledge of verbal and physical de-escalation, use of force continuum and arrest laws preferred.
*Must walk and climb stairs.
*Must walk and stand for extended periods of time.
*Will work outside in extreme weather conditions.
*Must see and hear accurately in both day and nighttime conditions.
*Skill in operating portable radio devices.
*Must detect irregularities, such as security breaches, facility and safety hazards and emergency situations.
*Effectively contacts and interacts with emergency responders, such as police, fire, and/or ambulance personnel as required.
*Must have ability to restrain or subdue an individual.
*Maintains confidentiality in all aspects of the job.
